As a result of the historic Right to Buy legislation and taking part in Low Cost Home Ownership initiatives, many of our housing developments are what is called mixed tenure and include tenants, sharing owners and owner occupiers. Most of these areas have common parts that we all have a joint responsibility to ensure are properly maintained.
Wishaw and District Housing will arrange and carry out the necessary works on behalf of tenants to the common parts of the housing developments. This is commonly known as Factoring. Both the actual costs and the administration costs of providing this factoring service are shared between every tenant in the development or building, according to the provisions included in the Title Deeds.
