Wishaw and District Housing Association - Contents Insurance

If you are a tenant of Wishaw and District Housing Association the property you live in will be covered by the Association's common Building Insurance Policy.  This means that the structure, fixtures and fitting of the property are insured in the event of a disaster such as fire or flood.

However - This DOES NOT cover your personal belongings and possessions. 

Tenants of Wishaw and District Housing Association now have a choice through either the Diamond Insurance Scheme or the THIS Tenants Contents Scheme to apply for low cost, comprehensive contents insurance. 

Both schemes offer similar levels of cover for all household and personal belongings, such as white goods (washing machine, fridge, cooker etc.) entertainment equipment, furniture and carpets, jewellery, decoration etc.

Both schemes also allow you the option to cover items stored in outhouses, such as adjoining garages and sheds.

All items, other than clothing and household linen, will be covered on a new-for-old basis.
