Wishaw and District Housing Association's Future Development Projects
Main Street, Wishaw (Former Tesco Site)
At the start of June 2010 Wishaw and District Housing Association acquired the former Tesco site on Main Street, Wishaw.
At the heart of the site we hope to build 30 units of affordable housing, however there will also be enough ground for a different development, the nature of which has still to be decided.
Our feasibility study is now complete. The main aim of this was to determine suitable suggestions for this site, of which we now have four proposals. Wishaw and District Housing Association Board of Directors will make a decision as to which one they feel is most appropriate to take forward.
You will have noticed works on the site, this has been an enabling contract to rectify ground conditions in preparation for building. We would like to thank North Lanarkshire Council's contribution from the Vacant and Derelict Land Fund which helped with the cost of these works.
At this time, we are unable to provide you with dates of when building works will commence, however please revisit this page for all further updates.
