Wishaw and District Housing Association - Assignation

An Assignation is simply a way of passing the tenancy onto another person.  If you chose to assign your tenancy over to someone else you MUST apply to Wishaw and District Housing Association for permission first.  Normally we will only consider the tenancy being passed to someone who has been accepted by us as living in the house for at least six months previous.

You do not have to move out of the property if you assign the tenancy but please remember that you will be ending your tenancy and will therefore not have the same rights to live in the house as you did as a tenant.  It is something you should seriously consider and take advice about.
